America’s famous Route 66 may not have been the inspiration but Vision have recently followed the road of introducing 66 new parts in a range of installation-grade cables and adaptors (covering USB, Serial, audio, Ethernet, DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA and vary in length from 0.5m to 20m.)

Until now Vision’s offering only included cables which had a Phoenix connector on one end specifically for use with their Techconnect modular faceplate system. All of these new cables are terminated with normal connectors at both ends.

In the short time since listing the new parts, Vision has sold over 20,000 units.

Vision’s Stuart Lockhart says “it is surprisingly difficult sourcing simple items like a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Most manufacturers don’t publish full specifications, so the resellers really just have to cross their fingers and hope it works. We saw an opportunity to change that.”
